Craft, assemble and finish a wide range of custom furniture pieces; Read, interpret and follow detailed furniture design plans, blueprints, and technical specifications to create furniture pieces; Select, prepare, and work with a variety of wood and other materials, including measuring, cutting, shaping, and joining them; Assemble furniture components, including joinery, using a variety of hand and power tools; Craft custom components such as drawers, cabinets, table legs, and decorative features; Apply finishes to furniture pieces, including staining, painting, varnishing, or other appropriate treatments; Inspect and assess the quality of furniture components and finished pieces to ensure they meet design and quality standards; Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Daily travel to worksites in Rochester, NY and surrounding areas. No overnight travel. 24-month relevant experience. Salary $39,670 per year. Plan, design, and furnish the internal space of rooms and kitchens; Conduct thorough assessments of clients' spaces and create detailed space plans that optimize the use of space, flow, and functionality; Collaborate with clients to develop design concepts that align with their vision, needs, and budget; Select and recommend appropriate materials, finishes, colors, and furnishings that meet project goals and design aesthetics; Create design drawings including utilization of CAD, and maintain clear and professional communication with clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and design changes. Daily travel to worksites in Rochester, NY and surrounding areas. No overnight travel. Bachelor’s degree in art, design, graphic design, product development or a related field and 24-month relevant experience. Salary $37,070 per year.
